I had contacted this company after a scam from another company. At first I was skeptical, but after talking with Syd, and doing some testing over the phone, I felt he was legit, He met with me and my husband and transported our 75" tv to his shop. The services was fast and the price reasonab. We are totally satisfied and would definitely recommend this company, Thank you Peckens for your friendliness and excellent service,

We have a Dimplex electric fireplace stove that is at least 25 years old that pretty much ran 24/7 during the cold months. The motor finally gave up and we were devstated. The authorized repair centers wouldn't repair it and the new fireplaces just aren't made as well as ours. The flame on our fireplace actually looks real not fake like the new fireplaces. On a whim we stopped at Peckens TV repair and Hamid assured us he would be able to repair the fireplace. Not only did he repair the motor, he replaced all of the bulbs with LED bulbs and cleaned the unit and has ordered new logs for us. The fireplace looks better now than it did when it was brand new. He has since repaired a Dyson vacuum for us also. We will definitely use his services again...He is a miracle worker!

A Sears 50 year old Super 8mm projector needed repair that even a Sears service center refused to do. Peckens TV did the job no one else was even willing to try. The job was done professionally and delivered when promised. Good Job!

I had a great experience at Peckens. I just had my home theater system receiver repaired. It's an Onkyo 7.1 THX receiver. From the time I dropped it off to the time I picked it up was 5 days. They also accepted credit cards, so I'm not sure why there are reviews saying they don't. They were friendly, explained the process, and fixed my issue. I paid a $30 deposit for troubleshooting and that $30 would be deducted from my final repair bill if I chose to have it repaired, which I did and it was deducted from my final bill. I was having sound and picture issues that at first went away after a minute, then a few mintues, then 5, 10, 30, etc before it just stopped working. Looking online, it turns out to be very common with Onkyo receivers. They replaced quite a few capacitors and it now works. They were also very reasonable with their pricing. My brother also had his TV repaired a week earlier with Peckens (Samsung plasma that had no picture and sound), and that was also done within 10 days and very reasonable in price. Neither one of us saw the reviews before hand so I'm surprised to see them all negative, but I'm glad we didn't and came in. Hopefully the few bad reviews are just isolated instances, you figure they have way more than just 5 customers. Their shop is pretty cool too, tons of stuff inside. I would recommend giving them a chance based on mine and my brother's experience.

Had a plasma TV which developed a problem with pink pixels appearing on the screen after it had been on for a bit. These folks were able to identify the board that was at fault and got a replacement. Took a little over a week to get fixed.

My 55 in. Sony wall mounted TV just quit working (5 yrs. old). I wasn't sure how or where to get it fixed? I called a few Big Box stores for repair, long repair time. My son knew of Peckens TV Repair in Roselle. I called, brought my TV to the store, next day est. on repairs. They ordered a new circuit board and installed within a week. It's working Great! Ron H.

We were very pleased to know that they still possessed the qualities that have continued to make them the success that they are. HONEST - REASONABLY PRICED - FAST SERVICE - KNOWLEDGEABLE I have a Sony home theater system that needs to be repaired...guess where I'm taking it!

Remembering their stellar service from the past, we brought in our flat screen LED TV that went out after a lightning strike. We were very pleased to know that they still possessed the qualities that have continued to make them the success that they are:

HONEST & REASONABLY PRICED - They could have charged us for a complete main module and rightly so. Instead they painstakingly replaced just the defective chip and only charged us for that. That's what one does when they place customer loyalty above excess profits.

FAST SERVICE & KNOWLEDGEABLE - Being a Microsoft Certified Technician, I know quite a bit about troubleshooting...and so do these guys. After having our TV for just a couple hours they were able to perform a temporary workaround which allowed us to watch TV that afternoon while we waited for the replacement part to arrive. When the part did arrive we brought the TV back around lunch time. It was ready for pickup in less than 2 hours and the picture never looked better.

I have a Sony home theater system that needs to be repaired...guess where I'm taking it!

I took my Sharp 65" LED tv to Pecken Tv Shop for repair. Tv had no picture, HDMI input was not working, was lying dead in the basement for more than a year. Sharp told us that it was out of warranty and they can't help. Sharp suggested that we buy a hdmi port board $130.00 and we did. Still not working. I spoke to the Owner of Peckens TV. Man, believe me he fixed it. Fast service. Very reasonable price. Very dependable service. No dancing no gommic. Great job. I strongly recommend Pecken TV repair shop to all in general and to seniors like me in particular.

I brought in a small Panasonic combination radio and sound machine. It was important to have it repaired since it is no longer manufactured. I found the owner, Syd to be knowledgeable and helpful. He ordered a part and it worked like new. He knew exactly how to repair it. I would definately use him in the future. He is honest and reasonable.

A welcome find for video and electronic service!
These people are not only knowlegable and skilled, the
price for service is amazingly reasonable. They repaired
the tray mechanism on a Panasonic DVD recorder for less
than $120. Panasonic wanted a flat fee of $275 and I would
have to send it to Texas. After I found that the repair was
satisfactory, I asked if they could convert an old VCR to
work as a programmable tuner without having to use a
cassette. They were willing to try and I was very happy with
the result. A big box store would have just said ""It can't be
    done!"" Highly recommended!

Just had these people out to repair a 1966 Magnavox Stereo Console. Not very many repair places service them but these people did. They called and confirmed appt., they came out on time, and they fixed our problem. They were in and out in probably 40 minutes. They get my vote.
